Job summary

KVC Health Systems' Camber Mental Health in Olathe is seeking a Maintenance Worker to keep facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for children and families we serve. This part-time position involves hands-on upkeep across plumbing, electrical, and structural elements.

Ideal candidates have at least a tenth-grade education, 1–3 months of maintenance experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of at least 10th grade is required; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience: One to three months of related maintenance experience or training.
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to manage administrative tasks.
• Licensure: A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) to conduct company business.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential repairs including plumbing, minor electrical work, and furniture, fence, and window restoration.
• Maintain the aesthetic and structural integrity of facilities through interior painting and ceiling repairs.
• Construct shelves and other necessary fixtures to support departmental needs.
• Manage basic groundskeeping tasks, including snow and ice removal and minor pothole repairs.
• Remain available on-call for emergency repairs to ensure facility safety at all times.
• Model professional and courteous behavior, treating all colleagues and stakeholders with respect regardless of background or identity.
• Ensure all work is conducted in adherence to company policies and safety procedures.
