Job summary

Klickitat Valley Health in Goldendale, WA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for part-time hours (20 hours/week) to provide pharmacological support—stocking, assembling, and distributing medications—while delivering excellent patient service.

The role requires WA Tech license, national certification, and at least 1 year of outpatient/retail/acute care pharmacy experience, with basic computer skills and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Washington State Pharmacy Technician license and National Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Knowledge/comprehension of basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Stock, assemble, and distribute medications for patient care.
• Answer phones and questions related to pharmacy services and prescription status.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and place orders based on anticipated need.
• Refill, load, and unload medications in the ADD by selecting the correct medication and strength.
• Perform monthly inspections of storage areas and remove expired medications.
• Prepare emergency department takehome packs and unit doses as needed.
• Enter prescription data into the computer and monitor label printing.
• Communicate with nursing staff and providers to ensure patient care needs are met.
