Job summary

City of Bartow is seeking a dedicated security officer to maintain safety at city recreational facilities. You will enforce rules, protect materials and people, and monitor for disturbances under regular supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of related experience, and a valid Florida driver's license. You will perform interior and exterior patrols, respond to emergencies, and support city staff during events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least two years related experience
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds

Responsibilities

• Enforces established rules and regulations.
• Provides security for building, personnel and patrons including protecting materials and documents.
• Monitors activities for disturbances and unsafe conduct; patrols area on foot.
• Responds to complaints and emergencies; locks/unlocks doors and maintains access control.
