Job summary

BCFS Health and Human Services is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility and exterior property. Required: high school diploma or GED plus 2 years in building maintenance or custodial roles; preferred: environmental services certification.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: certification/training related to environmental services, custodial maintenance, building trades, OSHA standards, or workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and disinfect interior and exterior areas per protocols.
• Perform routine cleaning of offices, conference rooms, halls, restrooms, and common areas.
• Handle routine floor care (vacuuming, mopping, sweeping).
• Maintain exterior walkways and grounds cleanliness and appearance.
• Conduct basic facility maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Identify and report facility concerns and safety hazards.
• Coordinate with vendors for waste disposal and document shredding services.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and infection prevention protocols.
• Maintain inventory of environmental service supplies and restock as needed.
• Support facility readiness for meetings and events.
