Job summary

Eurofins USA Discovery Services in Fremont, CA is seeking a Facilities & Safety specialist to support a wide range of maintenance, safety, and administrative tasks. The role handles work orders, safety audits, equipment calibration, IT support during moves, and coordination with vendors to keep facilities compliant and efficient.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in facilities/safety, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or GED.
• 2+ years of Facilities & Safety related experience. AA degree is useful.
• Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft office, including excel, word, and power point.
• Good Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Due to the nature of this position and the occasional need to respond to urgent matters outside of regular business hours, candidates who reside within a 30-minute commute of the worksite are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Receives work orders for facilities maintenance.
• Supports safety audits, office moves, equipment calibration and cleaning service.
• Assist IT with desktop configuration during moves.
• Inspects and performs preventative maintenance on facilities or systems.
• Oversee outside vendors or suppliers for maintenance tasks.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance and safety tasks.
• Respond to urgent matters and enforce safety procedures.
• Provide cross-functional support to office management.
