Job summary

Eurofins DiscoverX is seeking a Facilities Technician for an on-site, full-time role in Fremont, CA. Qualifications

Role Description

The Facilities Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Fremont, CA, responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the company’s facilities. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment, assisting with repairs, and documenting work performed. The role involves monitoring facility conditions, identifying issues, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and general building problems in coordination with the facilities management team. The Facilities Technician will help maintain laboratory and office environments, support work orders, coordinate with external vendors as needed, and adhere to safety, quality, and compliance standards. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and ensure a properly functioning work environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for a variety of facility and laboratory systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Facility Management (FM) and Building Maintenance to support day-to-day operations and facility upkeep.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues with building infrastructure and equipment.
• Relevant experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or technical facilities environment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, and HVAC concepts, and familiarity with safety and regulatory standards is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals; strong attention to detail and organization.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues, contractors, and management.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, trade certification, or related vocational coursework is a plus.
