Job summary

Midtown Athletic Clubs in Palatine, IL seeks a hands-on Facilities Manager to lead engineering and maintenance, ensure safety, and protect assets.

You will manage budgets, oversee preventative maintenance, coordinate vendors and capital projects, and mentor the facilities team to uphold Midtown’s standards.

A strong background in HVAC, life-safety systems, and FMX or BAS systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong operational knowledge of HVAC and related mechanical systems.
• Technical training or engineering/maintenance experience required.
• CFM or IFMA certification preferable.
• Knowledge of Fire and Life Safety equipment and OSHA Standards.
• At least 5 years of hands-on facility maintenance experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of management experience in a related field.
• Understanding of housekeeping and laundry operations preferable.
• Swimming pool maintenance experience preferable.
• Computer literacy in FMX, BAS, and MS Office.
• Degree from an accredited university preferable.

Responsibilities

• Safety management and ensuring functioning facilities across the club.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and asset protection programs.
• Coordinate vendors and capital improvement projects.
• Lead and develop the facilities team to uphold brand standards.
