Job summary

Metropolitan Warehouse in Carneys Point Township, NJ is seeking a Facility Maintenance & Safety Manager to lead day-to-day building upkeep, safety compliance, risk management, and QA of maintenance programs.

You will streamline procedures, manage safety training, inspections, inventory for PPE and supplies, and coordinate with HQ on purchases; the role requires OSHA experience, safety leadership, and the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, or related discipline preferred.
• 5 years of safety management experience.
• OSHA experience required.
• Warehouse safety experience preferred.
• Strong PC skills with Excel, Word and Access.
• Knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
• Ability to facilitate training needs.
• Exemplifies ownership over projects from start to finish.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse safety programs and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct facility inspections and hazard assessments.
• Lead safety training and maintain training records.
• Oversee preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate MRO procurement with HQ and hub management.
• Act as point of contact for site FM activities.
