Job summary

Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel is seeking a Safety Specialist – Facilities to protect employees, guests, and the public by promoting fire protection, incident response and health preservation across all operations.

The role provides tactical safety guidance to departments and ensures compliance with Tribal, Federal, State, and Local regulations. You will support training programs and collaborate on safety improvements and projects across the property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of direct experience in environmental, health and safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulatory requirements for general industry.
• Ability to present information through reports and presentations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and conduct investigations; analyze data and drive improvements.
• Perform safety inspections of electrical installations, pool areas and safety equipment.
• Conduct audits and enforce OSHA/regulatory compliance.
• Design and deliver regulatory training and on-the-job safety programs.
• Develop safety and health risk management methods and procedures.
• Support projects related to processes, equipment changes, and building modifications.
• Manage EHS projects with tracking and corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with departments to resolve hazard reports and safety questions.
• Lead safety committee meetings and share learnings across the property.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
