Job summary

City Care is seeking a Director of Facilities & Safety to lead maintenance, safety, and property management across multiple Oklahoma locations. This on-site leadership role focuses on ensuring safe, well-maintained environments for neighbors, staff and visitors.

You will manage budgets, vendor relationships, and compliance with OSHA, fire codes, and accessibility standards, collaborating with program leadership to advance organizational safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in facilities management, maintenance, safety operations, or related field.
• Experience supervising teams, including scheduling and performance management.
• Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Experience coordinating safety operations, emergency response.
• Ability to assess risks and respond calmly to urgent situations.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize across multiple locations.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and operational budgets.
• Familiarity with OSHA, fire, accessibility requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with program teams and communicate across levels.
• Experience in nonprofit environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities maintenance and safety across City Care locations.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate urgent repairs with staff, contractors, and leadership.
• Ensure facilities meet safety, ADA, and fire-code requirements.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Lead Facilities, Safety, and Property Management teams.
• Manage staffing plans and on-call coverage.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and evaluations.
• Monitor KPIs for maintenance response times and safety compliance.
• Report on operational performance and safety trends.
