Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the maintenance department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. The role ensures the facility is well-maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

The position requires supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring regulatory compliance while managing preventive maintenance programs and critical systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in harsh indoor/outdoor conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise).
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Licensed according to current applicable standards and codes.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices and governing regulations.
• Leadership ability and teamwork; capable of planning repair, construction, and equipment installation programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Maintenance Department operations with proper staffing and scheduling.
• Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, closets for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys by governmental agencies.
• Ensure outside services are completed/supervised per contracts/work orders.
• Assist in establishing a preventative maintenance program.
• Meet with maintenance staff regularly and solicit inter-department feedback.
• Identify and classify routine maintenance tasks, including those with exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Make daily rounds to ensure duties are performed and procedures met.
• Maintain fire alarm and other fire protection systems.
• Perform carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs within scope of expertise.
• Maintain heating and cooling systems and monitor related systems.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies; head snow/ice removal when needed.
• On-call for emergencies 24/7 as required.
