Job summary

Gwinnett County Government is seeking a Building Services Coordinator to supervise inmate work, promote a safe, healthy work environment, and manage space needs for staff offices.

The role requires inspecting facilities, coordinating maintenance, and coordinating with vendors and departments. It is a safety-sensitive civilian role with pre-employment and random drug testing, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Three years of building maintenance, safety, management, or related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Valid driver's license; CPR and First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment needed to complete maintenance tasks.
• Selecting and specifying requirements of various departments.
• Provide documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation and perform walk through inspections.
• Interact with vendors and subcontractors to include detailing work, delivery timing and standards.
• Review requests for vouchers, work orders, memorandums, ensuring proper procedures followed.
• Ensure grounds are properly maintained and groomed.
• Oversee facility setup for meetings and events with proper equipment, seating, and tables.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and issued receipts at checkout.
• Perform inspections and spot-checks of systems and mechanical rooms.
