Little City Foundation is seeking a diligent building maintenance worker to support facilities in Palatine, IL. The role involves plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

Candidates must operate listed equipment and be able to lift heavy loads as part of routine duties. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid IL driver’s license, and hands-on maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Illinois driver's license and insurance proof.
• Mechanical aptitude with maintenance experience in buildings.
• Knowledge in plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks.
• Pool/wells/septic maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Communicates major problems to Building Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain buildings including plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs.
• Keep a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.
• Participate in preventive maintenance programs.
• Submit monthly inspections and reports for assigned buildings.
• On-call on scheduled days, including weekends.
• Assist in purchasing supplies/parts as directed.
• Assist in training building maintenance staff.
• Provide input into hiring decisions.
• Assist contractors as directed.
• Know emergency guidelines per Disaster Plan Manual.
• Follow governing board rules and agency policies.
• Perform duties in other facility maintenance areas as directed, including events setup and snow removal.
• Maintain Heart Association First Aid and CPR certification.
• Complete required Little City Foundation training and re-training as needed.
