Job summary

The University of Maryland's RecWell facilities team is seeking a Manager for Facilities & Projects to lead the Operations area, directing renovations, asset and equipment oversight, and staff supervision to keep facilities safe and functional for programs and the campus community.

You will develop project timelines and budgets, coordinate with vendors and campus partners, and manage the department's fleet and capital inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of facilities, operations, construction, or maintenance experience.
• One (1) year of experience leading or supervising professional staff.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.

Responsibilities

• 35% Operations & Project Management: oversee renovations, timelines, budgets, scope, and vendor coordination.
• 25% Asset Management: manage equipment, assets, fleet, and capital inventory.
• 25% Staff Supervision: supervise full-time and part-time staff.
• 10% Risk Management: implement risk controls for facilities and equipment.
• 5% Related Duties: perform additional duties as assigned.
