Job summary

illumynt is seeking a Facilities Manager to own daily operations of our Columbus site, from HVAC and electrical systems to safety and site security. You will supervise in-house work and lead capital projects with external contractors, while ensuring compliance and budgets are met.

The role requires 5+ years in facilities/maintenance, relevant electrical/plumbing credentials, and a proven ability to manage vendors, bids, and schedules. This is a full-time on-site position based in Columbus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities management, building maintenance, or trades with supervision experience.
• Ohio OCILB electrical credential or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Columbus Journeyperson Plumber license or OCILB Plumbing credential or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Knowledge of NEC and Ohio Plumbing Code.
• Proven track record managing outside contractors including bidding, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Own daily operation of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, security, and material-handling equipment.
• Build and maintain a preventive-maintenance schedule for all MEP systems.
• Triage and resolve facility work orders and keep a maintenance log.
• Lead safety efforts and ensure OSHA and local building code compliance.
• Own and manage facilities operating budget for maintenance and minor repairs.
• Own project management for larger capital work with outsourced contractors; write scopes of work and manage bids.
