Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, civil/structural engineering or related building field.
• Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in construction.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state building codes and local laws.
• Skill in long range planning and program implementation.
• Outdoor work in all weather; nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement and manage new construction and maintenance activities and projects for municipal and school building systems, facilities, equipment and grounds, and all capital projects.
• Prepare bid specifications, review bids, and make recommendations for bid awards; review cost estimates, pay requests, and change orders; perform contract oversight.
• Recommend annual updates to Capital and Asset Protection Program.
