Job summary

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks a Facilities Project Manager in the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Division to oversee day-to-day maintenance and operation of multiple buildings, ensuring reliability and readiness of infrastructure to support the Laboratory’s scientific mission.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline and at least seven years of facilities management experience, plus strong customer service, organizational, and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of facilities management, operations, or related field.
• Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, schematics).

Responsibilities

• Manage facility relationships with occupants and contacts; document deficiencies and needs.
• Lead projects and coordinate with vendors and PMO; oversee maintenance activities.
• Plan and assess facility changes; coordinate with IFM engineering on systems impacts.
• Ensure compliance with lab regulations; support ES&H and operations.
• Provide status updates to management and stakeholders.
