Job summary

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks a Manager of the Modernization Project Office to lead institutional capital planning and construction oversight. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a closely related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience managing planning, design, and construction of complex facilities.
• 6+ years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, or capital projects.
• Experience leading all phases of project delivery: planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, closeout.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, cost estimating, risk, and resources across multiple projects.
• Knowledge of DOE orders and capital project management standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for institutional capital planning, engineering, architecture, and construction management.
• Direct planning, design, execution, and closeout of capital projects from $30M to $100M+ annually.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Develop long-range infrastructure strategies aligned with scientific priorities.
• Represent the Laboratory with DOE, leadership, external partners, regulators, and stakeholders.
