Job summary

Brookhaven National Laboratory seeks a Manager of the Modernization Project Office to provide strategic leadership across campus planning, engineering, architecture, and construction management.

Reporting to the Associate Lab Director for Facilities & Operations, you will oversee the $30M–$100M+ annual capital program, ensure safe execution, and align projects with DOE requirements and institutional priorities. This is an on-site, high-impact leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or closely related field.
• 10+ years managing planning, design, and construction of complex facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for institutional capital planning and project delivery.
• Direct planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout of multimillion-dollar projects.
• Oversee EVMS implementation, cost estimating, scheduling, and project controls.
• Develop and maintain relationships with DOE, regulators, and external stakeholders.
