Job summary

Astfe seeks a Facilities Project Manager in Los Angeles to plan, coordinate, budget, and manage college construction and renovation projects from conception to completion. You will work with architects, engineers, and staff to ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and regulatory standards.

The role requires strong project management and communication skills, with experience in construction oversight for educational facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, urban planning, or related field.
• PMP or CCM certification is desirable.
• Experience in planning facilities or managing construction of educational, governmental, or commercial buildings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist college administrators with building plans by meeting architects, engineers and staff.
• Provide project descriptions and specifications for architects/engineers.
• Develop budgets and implement budget controls across design, construction, and equipment phases.
• Prepare project applications for board and state office reviews.
• Coordinate projects with maintenance programs and design/construction staff.
• Maintain liaison with college administration throughout planning and construction.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; update risk plans.
• Meet with maintenance staff to discuss impacts on facility operations.
• Respond to concerns from college administration about the project.
• Monitor data entry for projects and facilities inventory.
• Oversee multiple construction/renovation projects from planning to closeout.
• Assist in reviewing contractor schedules and payment requests.
• Monitor construction documents, submittals and as-builts.
