Job summary

The University of North Georgia seeks a Facilities Project Manager to lead design, construction, renovation, and improvement projects across the Dahlonega campus. You will manage from initiation through commissioning, coordinating with Facilities Directors and campus personnel to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.

You will oversee design professionals, manage budgets, bid packages, and compliance with building codes, while representing the university to contractors and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Five years of experience in building construction, and/or building operations & maintenance.
• Knowledge of design, construction, and commissioning of institutional facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, organizes, and coordinates campus construction, renovation, and improvement projects.
• Coordinates scheduling with Facilities Directors and campus personnel; reviews projects and maintains records for compliance.
• Provides oversight and comments to the work of Design Professionals for project planning and construction administration.
• Estimates materials and cost of projects and forecasts schedules; maintains project budgets.
• Represents the university with outside contractors, government agencies, and code officials.
• Works with Procurement to develop bid packages and assist in evaluating proposals and awarding contracts.
