Job summary

The Gill Corporation-Maryland is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer to oversee facility and equipment projects in a manufacturing setting, including design, scheduling, and budgeting. You will develop critical spares and preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability and efficiency.

On-site, 1st shift. Responsibilities include coordinating vendors, leading lean initiatives, and ensuring safe, efficient operations while supporting maintenance staff and project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
• Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Financial literacy for budgets and variances; basic reporting ability.
• CAD for facility layout and equipment design; proficient with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program and PM orders.
• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
• Analyze facility workflows to remove non-value-added activities.
• Update plant layouts and equipment workflows to reduce waste.
• Coordinate installation/repair work with contractors and vendors.
• Lead projects to meet production goals within time and budget.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance; prepare documentation.
