Job summary

The Gill Corporation in Edgewood, MD is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer to lead facility and equipment projects in a manufacturing environment. You will handle design, specifications, financial justification, scheduling, and implementation while developing critical spares lists and preventative maintenance schedules.

You will apply lean manufacturing principles to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize layouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred.
• Strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management programs.
• Financial knowledge for budgeting and reporting.
• Ability to use CAD for facility layout and equipment design.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a preventive maintenance program and tracks status.
• Coordinates installation and repairs of equipment with Maintenance and other departments.
• Participates in projects to achieve production goals.
• Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance.
• Plans environmental and related construction projects with vendors and internal teams.
