Job summary

The Gill Corporation in Maryland is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in a high-volume production environment. You will ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing while meeting quality, delivery, and customer requirements.

This role requires Lean and Six Sigma experience, strong leadership, and collaboration with Quality, Engineering, and Planning teams. ITAR/EAR compliance is required; the position follows a 1st shift, Monday–Friday schedule, with

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred; engineering background desired.
• Four years of manufacturing, production, or related industrial environment.
• Two years supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, planning, or scheduling.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools; ERP experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.
• Ability to read and understand procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and direct production activities to meet quality, cost, delivery, and safety targets.
• Promote safety culture; participate in continuous safety improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Planning teams.
• Drive performance against metrics: cost, quality, delivery, safety; implement improvements via Lean/Six Sigma.
• Deploy manufacturing strategies, standard work, control systems and metrics.
• Onboard, train, and develop hourly employees.
• Manage timekeeping, attendance, and labor reporting.
• Optimize area layout, material flow, and work cells.
• Enforce company policies and standards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations; report unsafe conditions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
