Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer to manage factory projects, maintain equipment reliability, and implement lean improvements in Edgewood, MD. The role requires a mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering background and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, with CAD and MS Office proficiency.

Salary range is $115,000-$140,000 per year, with relocation not available. The position is full-time on first shift, focused on optimizing plant layouts, spares, and preventive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical / industrial engineering or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required, Black Belt preferred.
• Must have strong knowledge of computerized maintenance management program.
• Ability to use CAD for facility layout and equipment design purposes.
• MS Office proficiency and basic budgeting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a functional computerized preventive maintenance program and oversees all facets.
• Inputs PM orders into computerized systems and tracks status.
• Maintains inventory of critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
• Analyzes facility workflows to identify and remove non-value-added activities.
• Coordinates installation and repairs of equipment with Maintenance and related departments.
• Supports project management from design through start-up and completion.
