Job summary

Orion Talent is seeking a Facility Project Engineer to develop and execute capital, maintenance, and carbon mitigation projects at the Dresden site, including the 106 MW natural gas-fired power plant and data center operations.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead projects from concept to commissioning, coordinating internal teams and contractors to deliver safe, on-time, and within-budget results. Emphasis on reliability, cost-benefit analysis, and emissions reduction.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of plant engineering experience.
• Experience developing and executing capital or maintenance projects.
• Experience with scoping, cost estimating, scheduling, and contractor management.
• Knowledge of carbon mitigation, emissions controls, or energy-efficiency projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute capital, improvement, maintenance, and carbon mitigation projects across the Dresden site.
• Lead projects from concept through scoping, engineering, budgeting, procurement, execution, and commissioning.
• Coordinate internal teams and outside contractors to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Apply engineering, reliability, and cost-benefit analysis to identify, justify, and prioritize projects delivering greatest value to the site.
