Job summary

SUN PHARMA seeks a qualified manufacturing engineer to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and capital projects aligned with product specifications and quality standards.

You will collaborate with R&D, QA, Engineering Manager and Senior API Engineers to ensure design accuracy and project success, while managing budgets, schedules, safety, and contractor oversight. Requires a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of PM/facilities experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Five (5) years experience in engineering project management and facilities management (boiler, chillers, HVAC, air compressors, buildings, etc.).
• Experience working with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes, including the essential assembly methods and production equipment.
• Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.
• Manages each assigned and approved project such that it is completed in a timely and efficient manner and on budget, while ensuring that all details have been completed.
• Designs, develops, tests or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
• Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.
• Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
• Monitors the activities of all contract or staff employees completing project work to insure optimal performance while insuring all safety and engineering standards are adhered to.
• Manages maintenance, repairs, and replacement of plant utility systems such as: boilers, chillers, HVAC, air compressors, RO water systems, etc.
