Job summary

Sun Pharma is actively seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, driving maintenance initiatives, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring compliance with cGMP and GDP. The role involves collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Facilities teams across diverse environments and critical production operations.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, at least three years in pharma

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Experience within an Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) environment preferred.
Strong technical and analytical skills with ability to evaluate systems, performance, quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

Monitor work order status and close open work orders with maintenance mechanics.
Ensure preventive maintenance and breakdown work orders are completed on schedule.
Review PM programs and recommend continuous improvements.
Support unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Maintain manufacturing and packaging equipment for peak performance and production targets.
Assist with equipment qualification activities and continuous improvement projects.
