Job summary

Pharmaron seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects for small-molecule manufacturing, driving from concept through commissioning with cGMP, regulatory, and EHS compliance. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on time and on budget.

Responsibilities include scope, budget, schedule development, risk management, and supplier coordination; you’ll work with Manufacturing, QA, EHS, and external partners to ensure successful project execution in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of capital project design and execution in pharma ingredients or related manufacturing.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through handover.
• Familiarity with a broad range of manufacturing unit operations and equipment.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders, contractors and vendors.
• Strong project management, organizational, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA PSM and applicable industry codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from equipment upgrades to facility expansions.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
• Manage multiple projects with scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk tracking.
• Communicate status and maintain change-control documentation.
• Lead design, cost estimates, studies, and feasibility assessments.
• Review engineering packages, specifications, PFDs, P&IDs, layouts and drawings.
• Support procurement and ensure solutions meet manufacturing, quality, safety, and regulatory needs.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and vendors; oversee construction and FATs/SATs; support commissioning.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance with EHS/PSM requirements.
