Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to design cost-effective manufacturing solutions for APIs. You will prepare production instructions, review batch records, investigate deviations, and ensure facilities and equipment are maintained and calibrated.

This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Operations, and Technical Services to optimize processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and at least 5 years

Qualifications

Education in chemical engineering or related field is required.
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is required.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to leadership and staff.
Understanding of budgeting, production planning, and business metrics.
Experience collaborating with Quality, Operations, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

Design and recommend cost-effective process solutions for manufacturing.
Prepare and review production instructions for intermediates or APIs.
Review batch records and ensure completion and sign-off.
Investigate deviations and document conclusions.
Maintain facilities, equipment, and calibration records.
Validate and review protocols and reports.
Evaluate changes to product, process, or equipment and implement improvements.
Lead projects to on-time, on-budget completion and provide training on API processes.
