Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is seeking a Facilities Project Planner to lead planning and coordination of facilities, renovation and improvement projects from initiation through completion. You will develop project plans, budgets, and schedules while coordinating with internal stakeholders and corporate partners.

The role requires managing risks, providing status updates, and ensuring projects meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field; six years of experience in project administration in engineering/scientific environment.
• Expertise in project planning and scheduling, with monitoring and reporting responsibilities.
• Experience in construction, renovation, capital or facilities improvement projects is preferred.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and service orgs (Facilities, Telecom, EH&S, Security).
• Strong leadership, communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to explain complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables for facility projects.
• Translate requirements into actionable plans and coordinate from initiation to completion.
• Serve as liaison between program teams, internal stakeholders and corporate partners.
• Facilitate meetings and track decisions, actions, risks, and dependencies to resolution.
• Monitor performance and provide status reports on progress, schedule, budget, risks, and actions.
• Coordinate operating procedures and processes to support objectives.
• Review project costs, productivity, and delivery methods to meet targets.
• Support occupancy reporting, space planning, and limited event planning.
