Job summary

SOME (So Others Might Eat) is seeking a Porter in Washington, DC to maintain facilities and provide a clean, dignified home for residents. You will perform cleaning, light maintenance, and basic grounds work, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Requirements include some HS education or GED and at least 2 years janitorial experience, plus a valid driver's license and vehicle with insurance. The role offers competitive pay and benefits aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• Experience serving low-income populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide upkeep and maintenance of facilities.
• Clean common areas, bathrooms, lounges, kitchens; grounds maintenance.
• Maintain building exterior and grounds; coordinate trash removal and inventory.
• Input work orders and perform move-in/move-out inspections.
