Job summary

UNM Hospitals seeks a Facilities Maintenance – UH professional to develop and coordinate a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for equipment, machinery, and facilities.

You will review manuals, schedule PM frequency, estimate costs, manage work orders in TMA, and serve as the main liaison between staff and clients to minimize downtime. The role is full-time with rotating shifts and involves multiple trades, with no patient care duties.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Post-high school related studies recommended.
• Experience with preventive maintenance software and report writers.
• At least 2 years of related experience in dispatching, facility maintenance or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a computerized preventive maintenance program to industry standards.
• Prepare and coordinate data uploads into the TMA systems.
• Utilize computerized systems to input PM orders and track status.
• Coordinate installations and repairs of equipment using the computerized system.
• Design and run queries to extract data for reports using TMA, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Access.
• Format and generate reports including summaries and statistics.
• Develop and maintain reports on efficiency and equipment renewal/replacement.
• Maintain a task code library and ensure quality checks on PM by external contractors.
• Schedule preventive maintenance across facilities and communicate updates to staff.
