Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking a Plumber to ensure a sanitary and safe campus environment. Responsibilities include inspection, monitoring, preventive maintenance and repair of plumbing and related systems across campus, including fixtures, pumps, hot water systems and sprinkler infrastructure.

The position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), roughly one year of related experience, and knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting and sprinkler fitting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of related experience.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to use alternative resources to complete the job.
• Prior plumbing and pipefitter knowledge; sprinkler fitter skills.
• State of Ohio backflow certification or eligible to test for certification.
• Preference for completion of a recognized four-year apprenticeship in plumbing/mechanical industry.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolds, and work in tight spaces.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, monitor, and provide preventive maintenance and repairs for all site plumbing systems.
• Maintain fire sprinkler system and domestic hot water systems.
• All other duties as assigned.
