Job summary

Indiana University Indianapolis Campus Facility Services is seeking a skilled plumber to diagnose and repair plumbing and steam systems across campus facilities. The role involves installing pipes, valves, pumps, and fixtures, with responsibilities including water treatment and system balancing as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma and either 5 years of journey level experience or a DOL-apprenticed trade certification, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5 years verifiable journey level experience OR
• Certificate in relevant DOL apprenticed trade.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by IU.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs plumbing and steam systems.
• Install and service pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures.
• Perform water treatments and system balancing as needed.
• Assist with building maintenance and snow removal as required.
