Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Facilities Planning Assistant to act as the central contact for division services, coordinating and prioritizing work orders and inquiries. The role requires strong communication, organization, and customer service skills to support leadership and users across the facility.

The position is full-time, on-site in Omaha, with opportunities to handle small projects and furniture requests, while leveraging Microsoft Office in daily tasks.

Coordinate, monitor, prioritize work requests, and service issues through both automated and manual systems and daily phone interactions with c ustomers. Provide i nformation to appropriate leadership resources for resolutions to issues in a team -oriented approach. Support and manage small project and furniture requests including vendor and user coordination.Required Qualifications:• High school education or equivalent required.• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Utility and application formats required.• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.• Ability to organize, prioritize and handle several projects at one time required.• Positive, competent, and professional image when dealing with contacts both internal and external required.• Experience with typical office equipment (e.g., computer, calculator, typewriter, fax machine, copy machine, etc.) required.Preferred Qualifications:• Previous experience in healthcare related environment preferred.• Experience with furniture systems, small more management and communication with end users and customers preferred.• Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm preferred.• Competence, with appropriate training, in operating specialized software programs preferred.• Experience in multi-line telephone console-way communication radio, digital paging system preferred.Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
