Job summary

Teller County's Facilities department seeks a full-time Facilities/Parks Maintenance Technician I to perform routine maintenance and repairs of County buildings and equipment across multiple locations. The role includes grounds maintenance and park upkeep, with on-call duties and the potential for semi-skilled trades across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Any combination of education, training and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on county facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate fire alarm inspections and file reports annually.
• Carry out semi-skilled plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• Maintain grounds, parks, and mowing responsibilities.
• Operate and supervise signs, lighting, and minor welding tasks.
• Assist with project leads, scheduling, and procurement activities.
• Maintain records, process invoices, and obtain quotes.
