Job summary

Bunge is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to support a Nebraska-based facility. The role focuses on inventory control, cost management, and coordinating maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance to keep the operation ready to meet schedules and opportunities.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager to drive improvements, optimize grain mix and space, and lead on-site staff, including contractors. A strong team player with a safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work and interact well with others.
• Prior experience working in an elevator and/or terminal (plus).
• Farming background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist inventory control under company standards.
• Support cost control and scheduling initiatives.
• Help develop and execute facility improvements.
• Assist in optimizing mix & blend using in-house stocks.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and OSHA grain-handling compliance.
• Support talent development for operational staff.
• Assist energy conservation and sustainability efforts.
• Help secure assets and deter loss.
• Supervise on-site workers, including contractors and temps.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory programs.
