Job summary

Training, Rehabilitation, & Development Institute, Inc. seeks an Assistant Project Manager to oversee janitorial and landscaping operations across DHS RGV facilities in Texas. You will ensure services meet contract terms, safety, and quality standards while leading staff and managing vendors.

The role requires strong organization, decisive leadership, and experience supervising facility services. Travel is possible and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent managerial experience directing cleaning-type operations for buildings.
• Experience supervising staff in a facility operations setting.
• Supervisory training or equivalent experience approved by the Contracting Officer.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations to meet contract requirements and quality standards.
• Oversee employees, subcontractors, and vendors ensuring contractual obligations and regulations.
• Act on behalf of the company for contract matters, excluding major amendments.
• Manage and review contract budgets and improve processes for efficiency.
• Schedule personnel, approve time cards, and manage supplies, equipment, and vehicles.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and policy adherence; conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure safety practices, provide training on equipment use and standards.
• Prepare reports, inspection logs, and operational records as required.
• Gather field data to prepare cost estimates for contract changes.
• Perform other assignments as directed by the Director of Operations.
• Maintain security clearance and comply with Drug Free Workplace policy.
• Lead OPS Security procedures and GFP control as needed.
