Job summary

TRDI is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee janitorial and landscaping operations across DHS RGV facilities. The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and experience managing facility services, ensuring work meets contract terms and quality standards.

You will direct daily operations, supervise employees and vendors, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of managerial experience directing cleaning-type operations for facilities similar in size to contract.
• Proven ability to supervise staff in a facility operations setting.
• Evidence of supervisory training courses or equivalent experience approved by the Contracting Officer.
• Ability to provide a detailed resume outlining relevant experience, training, and qualifications for evaluation prior to contract award.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations to ensure all work meets contract requirements and quality standards.
• Oversee TRDI employees, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and government regulations.
• Serve as a government contact and authority to act on contract matters, excluding major price or scope changes.
• Manage and review contract budgets for efficiency and improvement.
• Schedule personnel, approve time cards, and manage inventory for supplies, equipment, and vehicles.
• Guide employee expectations, provide feedback, and implement process improvements.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations through payroll system within timelines.
• Ensure adherence to safety practices and deliver training on equipment usage and contract standards.
• Prepare and maintain reports, inspection logs, and operational records as mandated.
• Gather field data and cost estimates for additional or removed work.
• Undertake other assignments as directed by the Director of Operations.
