Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Second Shift Supervisor to oversee operations, maintenance, and resource management of one or more facilities on the 5:00 pm–1:00 am shift. You will lead Facility Technicians and Machine Maintenance Technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance.

You will serve as SME for Vertiv OS and CMMS, coordinate preventive maintenance, and report on shift activities. This role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to manage multiple technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facility management, electrical or mechanical engineering, operations management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience.
• 3–5 years of management experience.
• Knowledge of electrical and building codes.
• Knowledge of NFPA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 45+ pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Facility Technicians and Machine Maintenance Technicians.
• Train and monitor team while upholding safety standards.
• Act as SME for Vertiv OS and maintenance metrics.
• Manage CMMS and maintenance scheduling.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and ensure timely work orders.
• Support reliable operation of plant equipment and building systems.
• Coordinate maintenance across electrical, electronic, and mechanical areas.
• Provide technical assistance to technicians and electricians.
• Develop maintenance team skills and communication.
• Report shift activities and issues daily.
• Coordinate with Operations, Planning, and Engineering teams.
• Administer time and attendance for direct reports.
• Maintain plant one-line electrical drawing updates.
• Assist with architectural and layout work for equipment/facilities.
• Identify and pursue capital projects for cost reductions.
• Prepare bids and evaluate proposals for capital/service work.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
