Job summary

Oak View Group in Tallahassee seeks a Building Services Supervisor to oversee cleaning, safety, and daily facility operations at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. You will manage cleaning staff, coordinate events, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitization.

The position is full-time with an hourly rate of $18.00-$22.00 and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-3 years of experience with facility coordination and direct employee supervision.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and adhere to material safety data sheets for cleaning products.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness throughout the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
• Vacuum, clean restrooms, wipe surfaces, change trash cans, and perform other cleaning duties as assigned.
• Coordinate, supervise, and train the post-clean and day-to-day housekeeping crew.
• Supervise and assist event support staff during events.
• Assist with daily maintenance operations of the building.
• Organize all storage rooms to be in neat and working order.
• Operate, maintain, and train staff on cleaning equipment such as vacuums and scrubbers.
