Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Florida to supervise event setup activities and coordinate operations for the venue. The role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$22.00 and includes health, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401(k) plan and paid time off.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will oversee changeover staff and assist with facility maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, facility management, or related field preferred.
• Experience with facility coordination and direct employee supervision.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with ability to multitask.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are vital.
• Ability to work beyond normal business hours as required, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Forklift and aerial lift certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise event sets/conversions.
• Oversee hiring, training, and scheduling of changeover staff.
• Supervise event support staff during events (stand-by staff, stagehands, fire panel).
• Assist with the daily maintenance operations of the building.
• Organize all storage rooms to be in neat and working order.
• Maintain all event equipment (staging, basketball equipment, etc.).
• Oversee opening or closing of facility for a move-in or move-out.
• Build and maintain tenant relations.
• Provide support and supervision of the changeover department: event set-up and tear-down.
• Participate in the development and administration of the Operations Department budget; Forecasting of future funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies.
• Assist in the purchasing of event equipment.
• Assist in the scheduling and maintenance of payroll approvals.
• Provide the event manager with proper labor reports in a timely fashion.
• Ensure part-time staff are working safely and are aware of safety guidelines.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and implement the work plan for facility operations.
• Other Duties as Assigned.
