Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Site Manager in Minneapolis to drive preventive maintenance programs and optimize facility operations. You will manage substantial budgets, supervise infrastructure repairs, and implement sustainable practices to reduce costs while upholding safety.

The role requires leadership of a multidisciplinary team, strong vendor management, and CMMS/predictive maintenance expertise to improve reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement across HVAC,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of facility operations/maintenance experience including supervisory experience.
• Experience with CMMS and Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and presenting to large audiences.
• Staff management experience including hiring, disciplinary action, and performance evaluations.
• Experience in budgeting and cost control for facilities.
• Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Experience in capital replacement planning and predictive maintenance programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning and System Optimization.
• Preventive Maintenance: develop, implement, audit PM programs to extend asset lifecycles and minimize downtime.
• Lifecycle Asset Management: monitor mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for long-term capital planning.
• Process Automation: leverage CMMS to streamline workflows and track KPIs.
• Operational Oversight: conduct safety and quality walkthroughs to ensure standards.
• Infrastructure Reliability: manage HVAC, fire/life safety, and power distribution maintenance.
• Vendor and Contract Management: source, negotiate, and manage external service contracts.
• Safety and Compliance: ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and safety standards.
• Financial and Resource Management: budget and resource planning.
• Team Leadership: supervise technicians and staff with mentorship and training.
