Job summary

ABM is seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to support operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical facility infrastructure systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical assets. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facility management, engineering, or related field is desirable but not required.
• 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in a critical infrastructure industry.
• Certification in facility management (e.g., CFM) is desirable but not required.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools is a plus.
• Ability to obtain relevant certifications within 6–12 months if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and overseeing day-to-day operations of critical infrastructure facilities, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Support the design and implementation of maintenance strategies to ensure safety and efficiency of facility systems.
• Develop and maintain procedures for routine and emergency maintenance, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Monitor facility systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical) to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and oversee maintenance and repair work.
• Assist in developing and managing budgets for facility operations and maintenance.
• Ensure all facility documentation, including maintenance logs and safety records, are accurately maintained.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of facility systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in sustainability initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with other departments on facility-related projects.
