Job summary

Town of Duxbury is seeking a Maintenance Manager in the Facilities Department to assist the Facilities Director with planning, budgeting and the implementation of Town and School building projects.

The role oversees maintenance staff, coordinates with contractors, and ensures compliance with public codes and regulations. Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; 3–5 years facilities management or building maintenance preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and sound judgment.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Building Management Systems and work order systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facilities Director with planning, design and scoping of Town/School facility projects.
• Oversee construction and renovation projects from inception through closeout; monitor budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and consultants; assist with bidding and contractor selection.
• Prepare specifications for purchasing materials, supplies and equipment.
• Monitor project progress; ensure compliance with timelines and budgets.
