Job summary

The Town of Mansfield, Connecticut, seeks a Facilities Management Director to lead the Facilities Management Department, develop a vision, and oversee day-to-day operations, budgeting, and capital projects.

The successful candidate will manage staff, implement policies, and collaborate with Town and Mansfield Public Schools, delivering reliable facilities services and maintaining high standards for municipal and school facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture/design, engineering, public administration or related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management.
• At least two years of supervisory/ managerial experience.
• Municipal or school setting experience highly desired.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Establish vision and plan Departmental activities.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Department.
• Budget and administer grants.
• Capital project planning and administration.
• Develop and evaluate departmental policies and procedures.
• Coach, supervise and evaluate personnel per HR policies.
• Collaborate with Town and School Departments and partner agencies.
