Job summary

Town of Duxbury is seeking a Skilled Laborer to support the Highway Department of Public Works. The role involves performing skilled manual tasks, operating equipment, and assisting in town-wide emergency operations.

Requires a High School diploma or GED with 3 years of related work experience, plus a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and Class B CDL. Benefits include health, pension, holidays, vacation, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with three (3) years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential function of the position.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License (Required)
• Class B CDL license is required

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled work within the Department of Public Works as determined and assigned by supervisor in the Highway Department.
• Supervises temporary or seasonal employees as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to department policies and public records requirements.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance in highway operations.
