Job Description

The Facilities Ops Manager oversees integrated facilities management services across multi-site operations covering approximately 1 million square feet. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with service agreements, corporate standards, laws, and safety regulations. The role involves managing site utility infrastructure, central plant equipment, refrigeration, and primary and secondary building systems (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, IT support, etc.) across various facilities. The Ops Manager optimizes resource utilization, collaborates with support teams, and maintains communication with labor relations to resolve issues. This position supervises all activities related to integrated facility management services.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $75K - $85K, which Aramark expects to offer based on current estimates.

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage approximately 1 million square feet of client leased real estate with 50+ full-time direct reports (custodial, maintenance).
2. Plan, administer, and direct all IFM activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, ensuring financial accountability and compliance with standards.
3. Oversee self-performed and subcontracted services, including grounds, snow removal, mail, A/V support, maintenance agreements, and refreshment services.
4. Ensure operational performance aligns with Aramark, client, and regulatory standards, continually monitoring and assessing operations.
5. Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards set by local agencies.
6. Oversee all site utility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, fire safety, and grounds.
7. Manage vendor relationships and ensure quality assurance.
8. Engage with client management to maintain effective relations and identify service expansion opportunities.
9. Lead and develop facility and maintenance teams, ensuring engagement and compliance with HR policies.
10. Develop operational forecasts and explain variances.
11. Utilize IWMS for tracking work requests and preventive maintenance.
12. Ensure adherence to all contract obligations.
13. Responsible for 24/7 emergency response for all sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Professional certifications (IFMA, SRMP, AFE) preferred.
• 7-10 years of relevant technical experience in facilities or property management.
• Knowledge of integrated facility management in research or engineering environments is preferred.
• Experience in operations management, including budgeting, staff supervision, safety, and logistics.
