Chenega Security SBU in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee building operations, maintenance activities, and facility support services in a government-focused environment.

You will coordinate maintenance, vendor management, space planning, and capital projects while collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support mission-critical operations. Strong leadership, budgeting, and compliance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Admin, or related field.
• Four years of facilities management or equivalents; or
• Eight years of facilities-related experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors and maintenance teams.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; Top Secret clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings and provide facility updates and recommendations.
• Coordinate maintenance, repair, landscaping, and janitorial services by technicians and vendors.
• Review work orders for timely, satisfactory completion.
• Conduct facility inspections and prepare related reports.
• Coordinate office moves and workplace reconfigurations.
• Obtain and evaluate cost proposals for materials and labor.
• Manage capital improvement projects from planning to completion.
• Prepare and monitor operating and capital budgets and analyze variances.
• Manage vendor performance and ensure service standards compliance.
• Train vendors on work order management and billing procedures.
• Review invoices and ensure accurate cost center coding.
• Conduct financial and operational analyses and prepare reports.
• Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
